Often times when traveling for business, I have the opportunity to visit really great places. Yesterday, while in Dallas, I stood on the “Grassy Knoll” and observed two white “X”’s painted on Elm St. where President John Fitzgerald Kennedy received two fatal blows that ended his short life.
The client I was with took us to the Sixth Floor Museum, which occupies the sixth floor of the former Texas Schoolbook Depository. It was quite eerie to gaze out the southeast window, where Lee Harvey Oswald was perched, waiting for his opportunity …
Visiting sites like this really put things in perspective. My next “planned” visit while on business will take me to the National D-Day Museum in New Orleans. I am sure I’ll have something to write about that.
