Geeks With Blogs
Scott Kuhl Warning: I may have no idea what I am talking about!

image Is Linspire getting desperate?  They just struck a deal with Microsoft to license code for Windows Live Messenger, Windows Media, and TrueType fonts.  Okay, that seems like a good thing.

But they agreed to make Live Search the default on their Linux based OS!  Linspire has always billed itself as the super easy Linux distro for everyone.  I guess they are going to find out if they can make in the mainstream market, because I just think they alienated a lot of Linux geeks, assuming they had some left.

I signed up as a lifetime subscriber to Linspire back when it was Lindows, and personally I hope they have success.  But man, is this a risk.
