I'd Rather Be Coding Jay Glynn thinking out loud.

I posted before that we getting ready to roll out 7000 new tabletpcs leter this year. One of the tasks that I have bee assigned is device security. This include authentication, authorization and encryption. I have been learning all there is about these subjects lately. One thing that I discovered recently is that if you enable 3DES encryption on a TabletPC running XPSP2, you can no longer log into Passport! After enabling 3DES on my Toshiba I was no longer able to check Hotmail. Every time I would try and log into Passport I would get a page not available error.

If anyone knows of some greate resources for learning about these subjects, I'm all ears. My main resource so far is the XP Resource Kit. I'll be spending a lot of time in security related talks at TechEd this year.
