Movies, Movies, Movies

So tonight i'm going to be checking out Die Hard part 23423432 (or whatever its at now). I'll be honest, I'm not a huge fan of this series, but this one should be far-enoughed removed from the other ones that I won't be having crazy Moonlighting flashbacks whenever I see Bruce Willis.

There are also two other movies soon to come out that I'm really keen on watching, and no: I'm not talking about Transformers or the new Harry Potter film.

Yes, its Michael Moore, and yes, I know its not gospel. I loved Farenheit 9/11 but I was logical enough throughout it that I could seperate facts from Moore's commentary and opinion.

Living in Canada, our health care system is definately not in the upper echilons of global care...but it is free, universal health care for all residents. I *think* I know about the American health care system, but other than it being privatized and having to go through HMO providers, I'm really not up on what the actual situation is. Hearing stories about people that have to pay tens of thousands of dollars to have a baby is incredible...for us its just cab-fare to and from the hospital at most.

No End in Sight

This movie, released through Magnolia Pictures (the same company that released Jesus Camp), is a documentary on the Iraq conflict told by insiders including military, government staff, and others that were directly involved with the campaign and not just viewing things from the outside (like what Michael Moore did). You can check out the trailer off of Mat Good's website here (I could just link it from You Tube, but you should read his blog anyway...great Canadian musician and activist).

Let the official summer movie season begin!
