Look up "Anti-Climactic" in the dictionary...you'll find "Heroes Finale"

*Spoiler Alert...if you haven't watched the finale yet, don't read any further.*

Wow...thank God for PVR's is all I can say. I got home last night from dinner with a buddy and decided to watch the season finale of Heroes. I gotta say...the promise and anticipation that was there in the first half of the season just FIZZLED AND DIED with the finale last night.

I was expecting an epic Matrix-like battle between Syler and Peter. Here are the two most powerful "heroes" on the show with matched power, so there should be a great final showdown right?

There wasn't even really a "fight"...it was all Hiro killing Syler...well, "wounding" Syler who decided to crawl himself into the sewer and become a Ninja Turtle or something I guess...

And the whole thing about Peter's brother coming to save him, while noble, negated what we all really wanted to see: Syler and Peter have it out!

Horrible season finale...geeze, why is everything such a dissapointment right now? Spiderman 3 - bust. Heroes finale - bust. Grey's Anatomy finale - don't EVEN get me started.

Please please PLEASE don't screw up the Sopranos finale...

You are SO wrong about the finale. Geesh. I LOVED IT.

And I don't think Sylar crawled away....dragged seems more like it....

I think they ended great, so much happened, the "good guy" team was loosely formed and they set themselves up nicely for the next season.

You and your expectations are bunk.

I think "Magneto" just recruited his first ally.... 5/22/2007 2:59 AM | George

Oh man...I fast-forwarded through 80 percent of it...I know that Linderman could make things come back to life, but could he make himself come back to life after that? Does he have the same power as Claire, or is it the opposite: he can heal others but not himself? (hard to heal a brain too).

Which raises another question: why is it that when dude re-solidified his hand, his arm didn't fuse with Linderman's skull, which would have REALLY screwed up his hand as well?! Hey, HOW COME?! ;)

What they really need to do is build up a stable of bad-guys now...some real bad-asses...what would be kewl is if they created two characters that had some sort of...I don't know...exo-skeletons made of really strong material and give them the ability to heal themselves...then name them after woodland predators (maybe even extinct ones).

THEN we could throw in someone that controls the weather, a guy who shoots lasers out of his eyes...

I think you see where I'm going with this...I think it might be time for me to start just reading comics again.

My wife thought it was anti-climactic as well. Personally, I thought it was great. They left a hint about next season (who is this person that can see Molly when she sees him? Molly was more scared of this person than Sylar).

Why did you expect an epic battle? They already told you 3 episodes ago that it was going to be Hiro that "stopped" Sylar. They never said Sylar was going to die, only be stopped. I can't wait for next season to start. 5/22/2007 6:47 AM | thorkia
