CFL: Montreal is the real deal...Winnipeg is the real losers

Friday, June 16, 2006 6:56 PM

It might not have been the utter destruction that I had thought, but Montreal still came out on top with 20 unanswered points in the 4th quarter to beat Winnipeg 27 to 17.

And it was the same thing that we've been seeing in previous years: lack of discipline. Winnipeg has talent. But unfortunately that talent is more than stupid. Penalties, stupid decisions, and downright getting outplayed in key moments...those all contributed to Winnipeg slipping down the slope of suck. In the last Winnipeg drive of the game, the offensive line seemed to just want to get off the field, and that translated into back-to-back sacks of Kevin Glenn. Speaking of which...

Winnipeg will never win with Kevin Glenn as Quarterback.

This just needs to be accepted. We need a quality experienced quarterback. Well...Winnipeg does. I'm not cheering for the home team this year...there's way better talent to back than what we have here...which is sad, because I really like coach Barry...totally class guy.

Ugh...BC just scored a second touchdown on Saskatchewan...maybe they aren't the real deal like I thought...
