It's been a long wait, but Novell are getting closer to releasing their .NET Framework implementation for Linux. This is, of course, the Mono open-source project which was acquired by Novell when it bought Ximian a few months ago. Beta 1 was released on Monday, and contains an ASP.NET implementation, amongst other things. Windows.Forms will not be part of the release, but there is an early version available, together with an early version of a C# 2.0 compiler.
All excellent stuff. Good to see this project delivering after a couple of years work. Welcome to the .NET universe all you Linux developers!
