Brian Scarbeau Insights from a seasoned Computer Science Trainer
I have a new group of web design students that I'll be teaching dotnetnuke to. The first thing we'll do today is to install dotnetnuke. The latest starter kit version 4.4.1 from has eliminated some of the steps that it use to take to use this open source portal software. The previous version required you to physically attach the database to the project using Visual Web Developer. That step has been completely eliminated and a straight install will give you a portal right away. You need to have sql express and visual web developer downloaded and installed before you use dotnetnuke. Future blogs will review some of the things that I'll be doing with my class.
