Geeks With Blogs

Connected Systems Chilled Out Blog Hanging stuff together in a meaningful way with some fun added March 2006 Entries
What no song title!
Something.. As my good friend Simon Hutson of Microsoft UK has said in his blog – – @I've been reading up on the collective wisdom on how to succeed with your blog, and it looks like the number one rule is to make your blog title meaningful - oh dear, I've fallen at the first hurdle. So in true sheep mentality ("well what do ya know, I'm a follower too") I have decided to follow the crowd and give you accurate titles. However, ......

You keep me hanging on: Vista delayed

So Microsoft have had to delay Vista till 2007…Vista Delay. Its not completely clear as it appears only the home user will wait as business will get the’ drop’ in November 2006. A little bird has also mentioned that selected OEM’s should also get the OS as well so keep and eye on Dell and HP.

Get Back (again): Day 2 Insight Conf
Day 2 built on the excellent start of day 1. Good business view of SOA kicked of my day, followed by the SQL workshop with Keith and Eric and then a fine BizTalk 2004 Session from John Plummer and Kevin Smith (both of MS). In the afternoon I enjoyed an excellent presentation from Martin Fowler (Thoughtworks not Eastenders!) Lots of networking and hob knobing before winding my weary way home! Overall and excellent 2 days. Well done the two Matts! ......

A day in the life: Blogging

I seem to be struggling with getting my blogs to upload. Seems that is lagging the world at the moment with very little happening in the way of ‘maintenance’ or updates. Some of the features I expected are still – ‘coming soon’ and now I keep getting cast errors. So looks like it might be time to find a new host! I’m open to suggestions on this one!
