Now I'm a bit of a history buff so I'm very much excited by this piece of news!

In November I posted about Photosynth which is a fantastic technology that maps photographs together onto a three dimensional frame to effectively cover the frame. This allows you the to view the frame from different perspectives and see the different photographs in position and context.

Microsoft Live Labs and Auntie Beeb are collaborating to reproduce representations of a few of the UK's interesting historical sites in Photosynth for an up and coming TV series called How We Built Britain. You can jump to the the Your Britain Photosynth site here.

The choices of site are quite unusual and they are Ely Cathedral, Burghley House, the Royal Crescent, Bath, the Scottish Parliament buildings and Blackpool Tower Ballroom. Anyway I'm sure I will get the relevance on Sunday 10th June BBC One.
